Tutorial 5: Connect via the Internet!

Run your Raspberry Pi like a server that you can connect to over the internet! In this tutorial I show you how you can configure your Raspberry Pi and home LAN router such that you can access your device from an external network. After this you will be able to log in to your pi from work, school, or your phone!

This tutorial is a little older (published in 2014!). The main principles are still relevant, so I haven't needed to update this lesson.

There is no coding necessary for this tutorial!
You need to adjust your home router to allow outsiders into your network. Specifically you will have to do port forwarding. You can learn more about how to do this at PortFoward.
