Perhaps you're not interested in writing all your programs on the pi? Worry not; you can do most of your work on your own computer and just upload the files to the pi later for execution if you wish. In this tutorial I show you how to upload files to your Raspberry Pi using FTP or AFP (Mac only) protocols. This should make things a little easier!
